Double Nuffield
These double Nuffields were made by John Fearnley (Dad) in around 1970. John started his contracting business in 1968 and in 1970 got a contract to inject ammonia, but did not have a big enough tractor at the time to pull an injector, so he fitted together two Nuffield 1060s that he already had.
The top photo is his prototype machine and the bottom photo is the machine he used until 1976 when it was replaced by a succession of tractors including a Track Marshall 70, an MF1200 and an MF1080. The outfit worked very well and was quite well known in Norfolk at the time.
